Pay: (£13.48 PAYE / £16.08 LTD Umbrella (Inclusive of Holiday Pay)

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Temporary Ground Maintenance Operative for their client in Leicestershire to join the Operational Highways team. This hands-on role involves maintaining environmental areas such as verges, hedges, and footpaths across Leicestershire.

Key Responsibilities:

Grass cutting, hedge trimming, and verge maintenance
Seasonal tasks including sign washing and edging back verges
Using plant machinery and power tools safely
Assisting in emergency response situations as part of a standby rota
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

NVQ Level 2 in Highways Maintenance (or willingness to attain)
Valid driving licence
Experience in highways or civil engineering maintenance
Knowledge of safe working practicesDesirable:

Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) licence & CPC qualification
Traffic Management knowledge (Chapter 8 regulations)
Ability to tow and manoeuvre trailers
This is a physically active role requiring outdoor work in all weather conditions. You’ll be part of a supportive team, with opportunities to develop your skills and take on leadership responsibilities when required.
