Project Engineer

Location: Sandy, Bedfordshire

The Company:

They are a leading manufacturer of food processing equipment, specializing in solutions for the convenience and ready-meal food sectors. They are looking for an exceptional Project Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the successful delivery of key projects.

The Job:

As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing contracts from order receipt through to installation and handover.

This is an office-based role with occasional site visits to customer locations. You may be required to travel both within the UK and abroad, including overnight trips. Some projects may also require overseeing on-site installations and managing subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead projects from the order receipt stage through to successful installation and handover.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring smooth communication and support.

Develop and align project scopes with customers and the sales team.

Create and maintain detailed project schedules (using Gantt charts).

Prepare key project documentation (project numbers, Scope of Supply, timing plans, P&ID, BOMs, and layout drawings).

Specify, source, and manage bought-out components and equipment.

Manage project changes and adapt plans as needed.

Coordinate the delivery, installation, and testing of equipment (including FAT/PDI and site acceptance testing).

Oversee the packing, shipping, and necessary export paperwork for equipment delivery
