Job Advert: Senior Service Leader
Salary: From £30,000

Hours: 24 hours off rota, 16 hours on rota (including sleeps)
Are you an experienced leader with a passion for supporting others and driving the development of your team? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Service Leader to oversee two services in close proximity (just 3 minutes apart), offering a competitive salary and a rewarding role.
About the Role:
You will oversee two services, managing a total of 16 staff across both locations. You will be responsible for ensuring both services run smoothly, the people we support lead meaningful lives, and the staff team is well-trained and supported.
Your Responsibilities:
Leading a team of 16 across both services
Conducting monthly support sessions and team meetings
Overseeing staff training, rotas, and annual leave management
Carrying out monthly audits (medical, financial, and compliance)
Coaching, role modeling, and supporting staff development
Ensuring that both services meet our high standards and comply with regulations
Ensuring the people we support have active and meaningful lives
Developing and maintaining relationships with families, professionals, and external stakeholders
Reporting safeguarding and incident concerns
Collaborating with the York District team
About You:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or equivalent)
Proven leadership experience – you are not just a manager but a leader who inspires and supports your team
Strong experience in managing staff rotas, training, and performance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel for training, including overnight stays when required
Strong commitment to quality care and continuous improvement
