Job Title: Finance & Office Administrator
Location: Newport
Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (half an hour unpaid lunch), Friday 7:30 am to 12:30 pm (39 hours per week)
Salary: £32,000
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Administrator to supervise and control the day-to-day administration functions of our Newport site. This role ensures the site meets its objectives, manages all aspects of payroll processing and reporting, and oversees the preparation of monthly management accounts for submission to HQ.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce and submit monthly management accounts, including general ledger journal preparation, reconciliation of accounts (AR/AP), accruals, and prepayments.
* Prepare and submit Intrastat returns within the required timescales.
* Manage the IPR (Import/Export) process, ensuring accurate documentation control.
* Process monthly payroll, including adjustments for holidays, sickness, absence, and overtime, and prepare monthly absence reports for HR.
* Monitor customer credit limits, ensuring compliance with terms and timely debt collection.
* Maintain training and development files, ensuring they are up to date.
* Oversee sales invoice preparation and approval.
* Assist with day-to-day site administration and setup of new suppliers.
* Uphold high standards of housekeeping, safety, and compliance with company processes.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
* AAT Level 1 or Level 2 qualification.
* Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP.
* Familiarity with IPR processes is advantageous.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a “right first time” approach.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with employees, managers, and colleagues.
