Sales Engineer - Mechanical Seals

Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from Sales Engineers and Service Engineers with a background in mechanical engineering to work as a Sales & Applications Specialist for our client based in West Yorkshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Service Engineer looking to move into a sales position utilising your engineering expertise or a Sales Engineer interested in working for a well-established Yorkshire based engineering company.
Ideally you will be based within commuting distance of Leeds but we are open to hearing from Applicants based in Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester or Nottingham areas. Remote working is available for Applicants with a high level of experience working on seals or working in a technical sales capacity on mechanical products.
Role Profile
Representing the Chesterton brand of mechanical seals for the business which acts as authorised dealer for product brand.
Reporting to the brand Sales Manager.
Responsible for maintaining sales and growth strategies for the brand by promoting the range of engineering products, including mechanical seals, hydraulic seals, packing, gaskets, and coatings.
Build relationships and meeting both the Company and Client expectations.
To communicate with clients at all levels of management to board level
Work with our internal teams.
Provide monthly business reports highlighting current market conditions and the financial position of the department and forecasts as required.
Be comfortable and have skills to oversee clients fitting seals and undertake the fitting of seals as required.
Selling to a variety of industries including but not limited to: Power, Pulp and Paper, Steel, Petrochemical and Water.
Account manage existing and new clients mainly within Yorkshire and the Midlands.Role Profile
5 hours per week.
22 days holiday + BH.
Company car, laptop, mobile phone included.
Bonus paid as percentage of division's performance.Applicant Profile
An engineering background, possible Engineer looking to move into Sales.
Confident in generating new business and presenting products.
Experience in Technical Sales and Sales Development - this will include selling a technical engineering product including mechanical seals, gaskets, etc.
Experience / knowledge of the sealing / fluid seal industry.
Ability to fit seals and advise on the installation and applications.
Self-motivated, methodical and accurate.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
IT literate, good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Ability to work on own initiative and also part of a team.
Ability to work within strict timeframes.
Full UK driving license (or equivalent).
Ideally based in Yorkshire /North Midlands area.
Candidates must be eligible to work and live in the UK.
Must hold valid passport.Desirable Skills
Experience / knowledge of the fluid sealing industry.
