Responsibilities

All employees are expected to comply with statutory requirements and SHC’s policies and procedures.

To be responsible for your own health and safety and that of your colleagues, in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and relevant legislation.
To always be an ambassador.
To attend staff meetings as required.

To work in designated areas as prescribed on a rotating basis and as instructed by the Home or Regional Manager.
To vacuum residents rooms, the corridors and all communal areas within the home to a high standard.
To be respectful and aware of personal belongings.
Ensure residents are safe whilst carrying out cleaning tasks.
Clean toilets, basins, ensuites and bathrooms.
Deep cleaning rooms. 
 Requirements

Recognise resident’s rooms and personal belongings are personal and private.
Compliant with Health and Safety and COSH regulations.
Ability to work as a strong team member.
Demonstrate safe practices.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Consistent polite and courteous manner towards residents, staff and visitors.
Completion of mandatory accident book and report any incident to senior staff.
