CAD Technician

Kennet have been approached by the UK’s number 1 supplier of timber products within agriculture with an immediate requirement for an exciting CAD Technician role.

As a CAD Technician, you will play a key role in the design and development team, creating accurate technical drawings and supporting project design for timber structures, agricultural buildings, and related products. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to bring designs to life, ensuring efficiency and precision in every project.

Key Responsibilities:

* Produce detailed CAD drawings and technical documentation for timber and agricultural structures.

* Collaborate with engineers, designers, and clients to refine and optimise designs.

* Ensure all drawings meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

* Assist in the development of product specifications and construction details.

* Update and maintain design documentation as projects evolve.

* Liaise with suppliers and production teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements:

* Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).

* Strong attention to detail and ability to produce precise technical drawings.

* Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.

* Understanding of construction techniques, materials, and relevant industry regulations is an advantage.

* Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
