We are seeking an experienced General Foreman to join our clients team on an exciting earthworks project in Plymouth, starting in May. The project will run until Winter 2025 and involves managing and overseeing earthworks operations, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate on-site operations, ensuring work progresses on schedule.
Manage workforce, subcontractors, and plant/equipment on-site.
Maintain health & safety regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
Communicate effectively with the project manager, ensuring accurate reporting of progress.
Monitor and ensure high standards of work are being maintained.
Troubleshoot any on-site issues and provide practical solutions. Requirements:

Proven experience as a General Foreman on earthworks or civil engineering projects.
Experience on water infrastructure. 
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of health & safety regulations and compliance.
Ability to manage teams and contractors effectively.
Valid CSCS Card and SMSTS/SSSTS qualification
