Description

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer for an Industrial Machinery and Equipment Manufacturer to join their team, based in Haslingden.

Key Responsibilities

Experience working in an industrial machinery and equipment manufacturer.
Experience dealing with and auditing.
Experience with EQMS Systems/Software's.
Investigate operational problems affecting the production line and deal with them in a systematic, methodical manner with managers, engineers and operators.
Flawless execution of all supplier related projects including transfers, specification changes and improvement plans.
Identify and manage any necessary improvement plans with the focus on driving a reduction in PPM performance.
Develop and maintain an internal audit process to ensure process conformity and effectiveness as per standard requirements.
Undertake testing when conducting thorough investigations, including compilation of technical reports.
Compile the necessary documentation to ensure approval to supply products to customers.
Implement a robust corrective action process and ensure that timely and effective action is taken on all issues.
Develop the process to record Cost of Poor Quality generated at the business, with the ability to quickly determine causes of waste generation.
Ensure that suppliers are fully engaged in the New Product Development process; ensure full capability and understanding during the knowledge transfer process, supplemented by audits as required.
Maintenance and administration of systems used to document issues and drive business improvement, such as registers and QMS.The Candidate

Engineering background.
Experience working within manufacturing.
Auditing - ISO9001
Knowledge of problem solving and continuous improvement techniques.
Experience working with Quality Tools
Strong CommunicationSalary

£35,000 - £45,000 (DOE)
