A property development organisation that are driven by design, value, sustainability, and customer satisfaction are currently recruiting a Management Accountant, they are focused on producing homes that blend the best of modern design with sustainable construction and low running costs.

This newly created position is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and thriving business, this will initially be a stand-alone finance position but there may be future scope to recruit an additional Assistant into the team.

The primary responsibilities of this role include:
Managing accounts payable and receivable, including bookkeeping tasks such as maintaining records of all transactions and performing bank reconciliations.
Processing invoices, monitoring bank account balances, and reconciling bank statements.
Overseeing inter-company loans and ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
Assisting with income and expenditure forecasting and control, including valuation and drawdown activities.
Handling VAT and CIS returns.
Payroll and pension management experience is a plus, though not essential.
Preparing monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and project costings, and presenting these to the management team.
Preparing management accounts and conducting nominal ledger reviews.
Coordinating with external accountants and preparing year-end financial statements for the company.
You must have proven experience in the above mentioned tasks and be comfortable prioritising and managing your own workload. You will have a solid knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
