Active Recruitment are working with an Outstanding mainstream Secondary school based in Basildon who are looking to appoint a Humanities Teacher to start in September 2025. This is a well renowned, reputable school with a strong leadership team and plenty of opportunities for progression and professional development. In this role you will be teaching History, Geography and RE across Key stage 3 and 4.

**TLR for Head of Department available for the right person**

Duties and Responsibilities of the Humanities Teacher:

* Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering History, Geography, and Religious Studies.

* Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.

* Foster a love of learning through interactive, creative, and thought-provoking teaching methods.

* Encourage critical thinking, debate, and enquiry-based learning, helping students connect with real-world issues.

* Differentiate lessons to support students with SEND, EHCPs, or behavioural challenges, ensuring accessibility and engagement.
