An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Yard Operative to join a UK leading Events company Based in Bedford and Milton Keynes.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment within an extremely prestigious UK business. Along with a salary of up to £24,000 you will have the opporutnity to earn additional income through the busy periods through paid overtime, plus bonuses, company pension and much more.

* Salary: £24,000 per annum

* Location: Bedford, company is moving to Milton Keynes in 2025

* Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30am till 4pm

* Work Environment: This job will be based outside year round but PPE and workwear will be provide

As a Yard Operative, a summary of your responsibilities below:

* Maintain and keep a clean, safe yard with minimised risks.

* Report any areas of concern to the operations management team both verbally and via the Near Miss and Damages procedures.

* Work with and assist operations personnel to check and maintain stock levels.

* Carry out regular service, inspection, and maintenance of all equipment.

* Perform activities within the role as instructed by line management.

* Prepare equipment for jobs as requested by the operations management team.

* Pick equipment according to the load lists.

* Load and unload equipment from various vehicle types.

* Use ratchet straps to secure loads to trailers and kit to stillages.

* Ensure compliance with VOSA requirements when strapping trailers.

* Ensure stock is serviced and ready for dispatch.

* Actively participate in annual stock checks and asset identification.
