We are looking to recruit a Team Manager for the Fostering Team within the Social Care Industry. Our client has a well-structured and organised team that are looking to grow their staffing levels. The role offers flexible working hours and has a supportive team culture with regular supervision on cases. Dorset is embedding a systemic approach and is currently undergoing a number of changes focussed on reducing caseloads and improving outcomes for families. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and supportive team within Dorset Council

Main duties include:

Lead and manage a team of social workers and professionals.
Provide safeguarding advice and guidance.
Oversee statutory social work services for children, young people, and families.
Step in for the Operational Manager when needed.
Ensure effective performance management and staff training.
Manage budgets efficiently.
Collaborate with partner agencies to improve outcomes.
Conduct reflective supervision and manage staff performance.
Handle complaints and commendations.
Manage social work caseloads to ensure timely service delivery.
Attend court proceedings and relevant meetings.
Conduct case audits and ensure compliance with procedures.
Implement lessons from serious case reviews to enhance practices.

Minimum Requirements:

SWE Registration
1-5 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
