£70,000 - £80,000 and package

CSC Recruitment are seeking Estimators who have experience of working for main contractors who have experience of tendering for PRIME residential projects in London. They are looking for a meticulous and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team, focusing on PRIME residential projects. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our pre-construction phase, ensuring accurate cost estimation, risk assessment, and value engineering to deliver high-end residential projects that meet our clients' exacting standards.

Our client is based in North West London and are seeking an Estimator who can work on a hybrid basis (1-2 days working from home). They are a family run business who have been established for nearly 30 years.

Duties and responsibilities can include:

Cost Estimation:

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for PRIME residential projects, including labour, materials, equipment and overheads.
Analyse architectural drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
Work closely with architects, engineers and project managers to ensure all project aspects are considered.

Tender Preparation and Submission:

Develop tender documentation, including bills of quantities, scope of work, and pricing schedules.
Submit tenders in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all client requirements and industry standards.
Participate in tender reviews and post-tender negotiations to secure contracts.

Supplier and Subcontractor Management:

Source and evaluate suppliers and sub-contractors, ensuring they meet the quality and performance standards required for PRIME residential projects.
Obtain and review quotes, negotiate prices, and build strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.

Cost Control and Monitoring:

Assist in the preparation of project budgets and monitor project costs against the budget throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify cost variances and recommend corrective actions to ensure project profitability.
Collaborate with the project team to manage change orders and variations effectively.

Risk Management:

Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the project scope and develop mitigation strategies.
Conduct thorough site visits to assess project conditions and gather critical information for accurate estimating.

Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain detailed records of all estimates, tenders, and cost management activities.
Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting key metrics, cost trends, and project financial status.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator, preferably within the high-end residential construction sector.
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and building regulations.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
