Position: Facilities Technician
Location: Shropshire, United Kingdom
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Job Description:

As a Facilities Technician at our renowned food manufacturing facility in Shropshire, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. Your responsibilities will include:

* Conducting routine inspections and assessments of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.

* Performing preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the continued functionality of facility assets.

* Responding promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

* Completing repairs and renovations to maintain the safety, efficiency, and appearance of the facility.

* Coordinating with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair projects.

* Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of supplies and equipment needed for facility maintenance.

* Implementing energy conservation measures and promoting sustainable practices within the facility.

* Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure work environment for all staff and visitors.

Qualifications and Skills:

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and skills:

* Previous experience in facility maintenance or a related field.

* Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

* Proficiency in using hand and power tools for repairs and maintenance tasks.

* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

* Excellent communication skills for interacting with colleagues, contractors, and vendors.

* Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
