My client is a busy commercial build contractor, who are looking for a freelance engineer to work on an Industrial Project in Stowmarket.

Duration: 8 months

Start date: End of September 2024

Rate: Negotiable based on kit / experience - CIS / Ltd payment available

Site Engineer responsibilities:

* Assist & support in the preparation, implementation & maintaining of formal QA / QC documentation on site

* Undertake Surveying and setting out duties

* Check drawings and quantities

* Plan the work and efficiently organise site operations in order to meet an agreed programme of deadlines

* Liaise with any consultants and sub-contractors engaged in the project as necessary

* Supervise and monitor Junior Engineers

* Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise

* Arrange testing of materials

* Undertake the testing and calibration of instruments used

* Liaise with management

* Introduce improvements and innovation where appropriate to areas of responsibility

* Ensure work is delivered in accordance with the specification

* Take part in and deliver a Safety Culture with the entire site team

Qualifications & Experience

* Proven track record of working as a Site Engineer on large Multi Million projects

* Minimum of 5 Years Site Engineer experience

* Degree in Engineering or equivalent

* CSCS Card
