One of the primary roles of the Management Accountant will be drive improved reporting to support the business in its decision making.

Where you'll add value...

* Develop & maintain the cost accounting system, including involvement in the generation of new product costings.

* Ownership of the annual standard cost build process.

* Preparation of monthly management accounts, and analysis of production costs / variances.

* Evolve internal reporting (reports / KPIs) etc to support the business, providing increased visibility on cost drivers, progress of cost reduction activities etc.

* Support Plant operations teams with identification, implementation and tracking of plant productivity projects.

* Capital investment process and appraisal prior to approval by management.

* Supporting the quarterly forecast process and annual budgeting processes.

* Provide support to the Finance team as required on various topics / projects.

The experience you'll bring to the role...

* A manufacturing/engineering background is essential.

* Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Initiative, creativity and self-motivation are all essential attributes for success in this role.

* Ability to work comfortably under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines.

* Sound understanding of accounting principles and best practices

Preferred Education/Qualifications...

* CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified

* Business/finance degree

* 5+ years’ experience in a similar role within complex manufacturing, engineering or FMCG

* As well as the competitive salary of c£60,000, the successful Management Accountant will receive 36 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays, option to purchase an additional holiday, employee health and wellbeing options, excellent pension plan, and bonus scheme.
