About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver engaging lessons across KS4 and KS5, with the potential to contribute to KS3 enrichment programs. You will play a crucial role in developing students' understanding of societal issues, psychological concepts, and the principles of health and social care.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Health & Social Care, Psychology, and Sociology, tailored to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Use creative teaching methods to inspire curiosity and critical thinking.
Set high expectations for student achievement and behaviour.
Curriculum Development
Contribute to the development and review of the curriculum in line with national standards and school priorities.
Provide feedback and assessments that encourage academic progress and personal growth.
Pastoral Care
Support the holistic development of students by fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Act as a form tutor and monitor students' well-being and progress.
Collaboration
Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and develop cross-curricular initiatives.
Participate in department meetings, CPD sessions, and school events.
What We Are Looking For
A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with a background in Health & Social Care, Psychology, or Sociology.
Proven ability to engage and motivate students across a range of abilities.
Strong organisational skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
