Trading Underwriter
Location: Basildon (hybrid working available)
Salary: Negotiable

We're strengthening our team at Plum Underwriting and looking for a Trading Underwriter to join the team as we continue to grow.

You'll be looking after a mixed panel of brokers and be actively engaged on new business as well as renewals on a day-to-day basis.

The day to day:

Underwriting risks in accordance with personal authority and within Plum's criteria
Liaising with key stakeholders both internally and externally
Ensuring all documentations and systems are kept up to date and provided to supporting brokers in a timely manner
Assisting senior management with MI including retention rates and ratings input
Actively engaging with panel brokers to ensure Plum are their first port of call on new business enquiries
Ensuring SLA's are met and timely issuance of documentation to brokers.

Ideally, you'll have 4-5 years successfully underwriting a mixed household portfolio
A varied skill set that includes strong Communication (both written and verbal), sales, negotiation, analytical and IT skills.
Previous experience within an MGA business would be highly beneficial.
