Architectural Technician

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Architect, Architectural Technologist, or Architectural Technician to join our technical team. This is a creative, hands-on role where you’ll work closely with both the design studio and our skilled carpentry team to bring innovative oak structures into reality.

Key Responsibilities:

*    Develop concept designs, planning applications, and detailed technical drawings
*    Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations throughout all stages of design
*    Liaise with structural engineers, energy assessors, and consultants
*    Produce fabrication drawings and material specifications (oak frame training provided)
*    Conduct measured site surveys and communicate with installation teams
*    Manage multiple live projects efficiently and professionally
*    Assist with design quotations and cost estimation as required

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll bring a blend of creative thinking, technical expertise, and a collaborative mindset. We’re looking for someone excited to work in a highly engaged team, who enjoys the craft behind the design, and is ready to take ownership of their projects. About you:

*    5+ years’ experience in a similar architectural or technical role
*    Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office
*    Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and Building Standards
*    Excellent project management and timekeeping abilities
*    Clear communication skills and a team-first attitude
*    A commutable distance to Bath (BA2) - this is a hands-on role that requires regular in-office collaboration with colleagues, clients, and craftsmen
