Sphere Solutions are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Land Surveyor to join a leading contractor on a significant civil engineering project at M3 Junction 9. This role is a great opportunity for a surveyor with a strong understanding of machine control and 3D modelling using Trimble Works OS.

This position will involve a mix of fieldwork and office-based data processing, with an 80/20 split.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out as-built surveys using GPS rovers.

*

Process data using LSS software to generate accurate cut/fill take-offs for progress tracking and commercial reporting.

*

Support and adjust Trimble machine control models directly in the field.

*

Communicate effectively with machine operators to explain design models and changes.

*

Maintain detailed and accurate digital quality inspection records on a tablet, ensuring all work complies with Inspection and Test Plans.

*

Provide regular reports on progress and any quality issues.

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as an Engineering Land Surveyor on civil engineering or highways projects.

*

Strong working knowledge of Trimble Works OS.

*

Proficient in LSS software for data processing.

*

CSCS Card – essential.

*

Solid understanding of Inspection and Test Plans and quality control processes.

*

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

*

Ability to adapt to field design changes and provide practical solutions.

*

Drone Pilot Licence – advantageous.
