A leading precision engineering company based in Leeds is seeking an experienced Dimensional Quality Inspector to join their team. This role involves ensuring the highest standards of quality for precision-machined components, working in a lively and modern environment.

The Role

The Dimensional Quality Inspector will be responsible for:

Conducting detailed inspections of precision-machined components using manual inspection tools such as micrometers, gauges, and verniers.

Operating CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines) independently to verify part dimensions.

Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance.

Documenting inspection results and maintaining accurate quality records.

Collaborating with production teams to address quality concerns and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

Proven experience inspecting precision-machined components within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Proficiency in using manual inspection tools with a high degree of accuracy.

The ability to operate a CMM autonomously – programming experience is highly desirable but not essential.

A strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances (GD&T).

Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
