The Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Management Accountant to join our growing team. This is a key role within the finance function, acting as a bridge between the CFO and the Assistant Management Accountant. You will take responsibility for producing accurate and timely monthly and quarterly management accounts, managing cash flow, overseeing payments, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role is ideal for a candidate who is either fully qualified or qualified through experience, and confident in managing others.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and support the Assistant Management Accountant to ensure accuracy and timeliness in reporting and operations
*
Oversee and authorise all payments to suppliers, developers, and investors
*
Prepare and analyse monthly and quarterly management accounts, with supporting commentary
*
Lead the annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes
*
Manage the month-end and year-end close processes
*
Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations
*
Monitor cash flow, forecast requirements, and manage banking relationships
*
Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations
*
Liaise with payroll providers and oversee payroll accuracy and timeliness
*
Produce regular financial reports and performance analysis for senior leadership
*
Coordinate with auditors and tax advisors for statutory reporting and tax compliance
*
Drive continuous improvement through process automation and financial project leadership
*
Oversee the preparation of SPV accounts for development partners
*
Implement and maintain robust financial controls and risk management practices
Key Skills & Qualifications
*
Fully or part-qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
*
Proven experience in management accounting and financial planning & analysis
*
Solid understanding of accounting principles and reporting standards
*
Strong leadership and team management experience
*
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial systems
*
High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
*
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-team collaboration
