Position: SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Hitchin
Salary: £460-£500 per week
Contract: Long-term, full-time (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)

This role provides an excellent foundation for those interested in careers in Counselling, Mental Health, Wellbeing, Social Care, Youth Justice, or similar fields. As an SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant in Hitchin, you'll support children with complex social, emotional, and mental health needs, including Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.
Key Qualities We're Seeking:
Educational Background: A degree in Psychology, Criminology, or a related field is preferred. Experience with SEN is highly valued, especially for recent graduates in these fields.
Passion for Mental Health: A strong interest in mental health and working with students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs.
Understanding of SEN: A commitment to understanding and addressing the unique learning and behavioural needs in an SEN setting.
Local Candidate: Ideally located within a commutable distance to Hitchin.
