The Company you will be working for;
Our client is an established and successful company based in Birtley. They are currently looking for a Management Accountant to join their team on a fixed term basis. If you are interested and meet the person specification of the job role, please apply below.
The Role you will be doing;
* Assist with the preparation and reporting of the plant financial performance each month, analysing and interpreting results and providing commentary against budget / forecast
* Ensuring compliance with internal controls, completion of balance sheet reconciliations and balance sheet reviews with the corporate finance team.
* Maintaining the fixed asset register and tracking project spend from approval to asset capitalisation
* Work closely with purchasing and accounts payable departments to ensure timely resolution of issues
* Provide all departments with the financial data required to make informed decisions, including explanations/interpretation
* Supporting external and internal audits
About you;
* Part or newly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
* Experience of a busy finance function
* Up-to-date knowledge of UK GAAP
* Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
* SAP experience preferred
* Strong analytical skills
* Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver information in a concise manner
