Job Title: Quality Engineer
Salary: £33,000 - £40,000 (Dependent on Experience)
Shift: Day Shift
Role Overview:
As a Quality Engineer, you will oversee the Quality Inspection departments, ensuring that all shop floor activities are supported with the necessary training and resources. Your role will involve investigating Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), managing concession and deviation requests, resolving customer complaints, organising customer witness inspections, liaising with customers and suppliers, and conducting internal audits.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and supervise the Quality Inspection department.
* Investigate and address NCRs efficiently.
* Manage concession and deviation requests.
* Resolve customer complaints and concerns promptly.
* Coordinate with the QA department on documentation matters.
* Schedule and oversee customer witness inspections.
* Communicate effectively with both customers and suppliers.
* Conduct internal audits and update operational procedures as necessary.
* Create and maintain quality forms and documents.
* Train and mentor inspectors and apprentices.
* Review CAD drawings and assess new designs.
* Oversee the calibration system.
* Perform additional tasks as required.

* Foster strong relationships within the department.
* Collaborate effectively with other departments across the organisation.
* Communicate clearly and professionally with employees at all levels.
Knowledge & Experience:
Essential:
* High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
* Experience with various measuring instruments.
* Ability to work effectively within a team.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
* Competence in Microsoft Office.
* Willingness to learn and grow within the role and the company.
Desirable:
* Familiarity with Epicor Vantage.
* Strong communication skills across all organisational levels.
* Excellent relationship-building abilities.
* Ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and commitment.
