We are currently recruiting for a Service Manager for a manufacturing and engineering business with a stellar reputation and a well deserved reputation as an employer of choice. This Field Service Manager role will take overall control of the performance of 35 Service Engineers through 3 Supervisors who run day to day operations. The Service Manager will be concerned more with strategic planning than day to day supervision.

* Performance management of the UK service department
* Coaching, mentoring and motivating supervisory staff and their teams
* Budget and forecasting responsibility
* Strategic planning
* Customer visits when appropriate
* Recruitment of staff when appropriate
Field Service Manager - Education, skills and experience - Mechanical Engineering, Aftermarket, Service Engineer, Field Support
* At least 5 years at Service Manager level
* Strong mechanical engineering knowledge
* High level of commercial awareness
* Strong PC skills on common Microsoft Office packages
* Exposure to ERP/MRP systems
* Experienced in budget preparation and forecasting
* Strong organisational skills
