We are currently working on behalf of a specialist care organisation who are looking for a Positive Behaviour Support and Active Support Partner to make a work across their services in North, South and East London. The services specialise in supporting people with learning disabilities and complex needs, so experience within this client group would be highly desirable. Requirements of a Positive Behaviour Support Partner:

* Proven experience in developing and implementing PBS strategies within a care or educational setting

* Worked in education and/or social care at a management level.

* Experience in delivering training and coaching on PBS principles to a range of stakeholders.

* Excellent knowledge of the Key Principles of Active Support and relevant legislation and best practices in Positive Behaviour Support.

* Assisting in induction of new staff.

* Ability to conduct detailed assessments, analyse behaviour patterns, and develop evidence-based interventions.

* Strong training and facilitation skills.

* Develop, implement, and monitor individualized Positive Behaviour Support plans for individuals receiving services.

* Regularly review and update PBS plans to reflect progress and any changes in the individual’s needs.

* Become an Associated trainer in our BILD Certified Restraint Reduction Network Training Standards program.

* Support the Teams through in Service Workshops training and group wide PBS and AS training.

* Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to staff to enhance their competence and confidence in applying PBS techniques.

* Develop training materials and resources to support continuous learning and development in PBS.

* Maintaining the code of confidentiality.

* Work closely with the multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, SALT teams, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure a holistic approach to support.

* Engage with families, carers, and external stakeholders to ensure consistency and collaboration in the application of PBS.

* Act as a key liaison between the London Subsidiary and external PBS bodies, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of best practices and legislative changes.

* Lead on the evaluation of PBS strategies, including data collection, analysis, and reporting on outcomes.

* Ensure all PBS practices comply with relevant legislation, regulatory standards, and organisational policies and the Restraint Reduction Network Training Standards.

* Prepare and present regular reports on the effectiveness of PBS interventions to senior management and other stakeholders.

* Champion a culture of positive behaviour support, promoting values of respect, empowerment, and inclusion.

* Work to reduce restrictive practices and ensure that all interventions prioritise the dignity and well-being of individuals.

* Encourage and model positive behaviour, supporting the development of an environment that is safe, supportive, and conducive to personal growth.
