The last couple of years has seen Linaker grow exponentially and 2024 promises to be no different. As a result of recent growth and new contracts being mobilised, we are now looking for an exceptional Area Manager to join the team on a permanent basis.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for the service delivery in your designated area.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR WITHIN YOUR SPECIFIED AREA

Overall responsibility for the non-Key Account buildings

Assisting contract support with invoicing, WIP & Debt queries

You will be a key stakeholder and a significant contributor towards the growth of your area

Contribute to the sales process including change management, new bids, site surveys, asset gathering, contract sign offs and mobilisation

Responsibility for PPM, reactive, OOH works and quote turn around up to £10k, whilst ensuring quality completion

Scheduling and production of the PPM planners and dilapidation reports

Managing projects and small works within your area ensuring they are delivered in line with the clients expectations and are completed safely and within budget.

Responsible for ensuring that correct resourcing levels of the correct discipline are maintained throughout your area.

Responsibility for the upkeep of contractual documentation including contract files, logbooks, monthly reports and meeting minutes.

Responsible for reporting accurate and correct key KPI information to your Account Manager and/or the client on a monthly basis.

Production of quotations for extra works as required and in line with company policy and commercial agreements.

People Management – you will conduct regular reviews, audits and PDP as well as induction and onboarding of engineers within your area.

Request reports from contract support in readiness for attending client meetings as per your schedule.

You will always be a shining example to your engineers and endeavour to represent the business in a positive light in whatever additional reasonable duties are deemed necessary.

Responsible for reviewing the weekly/ monthly PPMs completed by direct engineers on the CAFM system – approving completion or ensuring further actions/remedials are highlighted and completed within appropriate timeframe.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

A basic understanding of the operational functions and knowledge of operational service delivery.

An understanding of expectation, deadlines, targets both internally and externally of internal and external clients.

Good understanding of CAFM, helpdesk and accounting systems and processes.

Technically competent, commercially aware with a sound understanding of Health and Safety.

Good basic written and numerical skills and comfortable working with Microsoft office.

Exceptional customer interaction skills, quick thinking and a confident communicator.

A natural problem solver, who thrives under pressure. Can stay cool and calm in the face of adversity and can demonstrate empathy when overcoming challenges.

Strong relationship management skills – internal and external.

Ability to be self-motivated and work well within a team.

Flexibility to travel with a valid UK driving licence.
