Role: Production Operative                                               

Location: Chesterfield

Salary: £28,500 – £30,000

3 shift pattern - Monday – Friday – 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm / 10pm – 6am

This is an excellent opportunity for a Production Operative to join a leading engineering business, operating in a wide range of industries including aerospace, defence, automotives and transportation.

Key Responsibilities

Follow company Safety, Health and Environmental procedures at all times.
Prepare, load, operate and unload products according to written procedures and instructions.
Unpack HIP loads according to written procedures and instructions.
Complete the required documentation accurately
Inform the Production Manager or Shift Supervisor of any problems
Assist in any area of production as directed by the Shift Supervisor.
Ensure that suppliers, customers and drivers are dealt with courteously and efficiently at all times.
Assist with Goods In and Despatch duties.
Operate the forklift truck as required.
Deliver / collect goods to / from customers if required.
Assist with minor maintenance activities
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping at all times and carry out general housekeeping tasks.
Qualifications & Experiences

Previous production/engineering/manufacturing background
Good general education, good literacy, numeracy and IT competence
FLT operator desirable but can be trained
Attention to detail
