Our Client is currently looking to appoint a dynamic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the team and contribute to projects across all commercial aspects of the business.
Based in Leeds, this role will involve site visits when necessary and offers the opportunity to work primarily within the Passive Fire Division, but also across various other areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
Review and ensure adherence to contract terms and conditions.
Attend sites as required to ensure commercial compliance is followed.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of applications and invoices, in line with contract terms.
Manage commercial aspects of change events, ensuring successful outcomes.
Assist with managing debtors and supporting the credit control team with outstanding payments.
Provide monthly reporting of WIP (Work in Progress) and CVRs (Cost Value Reports).
Review weekly operational reports for commercial tracking.
Provide commercial and contractual support on projects, attending progress meetings, and assisting with programme management, particularly under NEC contracts.
Manage subcontractors commercially, including order placement, application certification, change management, and final account agreement.
Help resolve financial or contractual disputes with clients, and assist with final account management on projects.
Mentor and guide junior members of the team.About You:
Previous experience in the contractor environment is essential.
Experience in passive fire protection would be advantageous but is not required (training will be provided).
A degree in Quantity Surveying or a similar industry-recognised qualification.
At least 3 years of post-graduate experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
Solid understanding of standard construction contracts, including JCT and NEC.
Familiarity with applications, contract change management, subcontractor procurement, and project reporting.
Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to manage costs and value effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Good written and verbal communication skills, with a professional manner.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail.
