Astutes Power Team are working exclusively with a leading Waste Management organisation who operate an incineration plant in Nottingham which processes municipal waste to generate steam which is then exported via pipelines to a nearby Energy Centre site with a steam turbine, generating energy from waste.

We are looking for a Maintenance / Multi-Skilled Technician to join the Maintenance Team supporting with reactive and preventative maintenance across a variety of plant to maintain the facility's availability.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader you will be responsible for:
Pre-planned and reactive maintenance duties on all mechanical & electrical plant ranging from pumps, valves, compressors, conveyors, cranes, generators etc
Assisting other disciplined technicians in maintenance on Control Systems & Instrumentation
Conducting continuous improvement activities, plant modifications and design work
Maintaining workflow through the sites CMMS, ensuring records are kept accurately
Assisting with the planning of maintenance activities for planned outages
Supervising 3rd party contractors
Deputising for your line manager as and when required

Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Apprentice trained / Craft Trained
Ideally qualified with a minimum NVQ 3 in a Maintenance discipline
IOSH or similar Health & Safety qualification

Personal skills
The Maintenance Technician would suit someone with:
At least three years experience post apprenticeship from a heavy industry such as Power Station (Coal, Gas, Energy from Waste / Biomass) Refinery, Petrochemical, Paper/Steel Mill etc
Experienced in working on a variety of plant such as boilers, pumps, valves, motors, drives, conveyors etc
