Location: Redcar
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 14:00
Salary: £42,000 per annum

Are you an experienced and motivated Chargehand looking for a new opportunity? Join our dynamic team at our bus garage in Redcar and play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our fleet.

About the Role:
As a Chargehand, you will lead a team of skilled engineers, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bus garage. Your role will involve supervising repairs, maintenance, and ensuring that all vehicles are compliant with safety and quality standards. You will ensure a high level of performance from your team, fostering a positive work environment and promoting continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a team of engineers and technicians.
Ensure all buses are maintained to the highest standards, in compliance with safety regulations.
Oversee the scheduling and completion of vehicle repairs and servicing.
Provide technical guidance and support to the team as required.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
Monitor the performance of the team, offering support and training where needed.
Ensure that the garage operates efficiently and within budget.Requirements:

Previous experience in a supervisory or Chargehand role within the bus or transport industry.
Strong technical knowledge of bus maintenance and repair.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
A proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Flexibility and a strong commitment to safety and quality.What We Offer:

Monday to Friday day shift (06:00 - 14:00), giving you weekends free.
