Are you a Senior OR Semi-Senior Accountant?
Are you an accounting professional ready to take the next step in your career? Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior or Semi-Senior Accountant to join their growing team in their Rochdale office. In this full-time role, you’ll work with a diverse portfolio of clients and be involved in a range of accounting responsibilities, from bookkeeping to tax filings.
Key Responsibilities of the accountant:

Perform bookkeeping tasks across various digital platforms.
*
Prepare, calculate, and submit V A T returns to HMRC.
*
Compile management accounts for clients.
*
Prepare, calculate, and submit Self-Assessment returns to HMRC.
*
Draft annual financial statements.
*
Prepare, calculate, and submit Corporation Tax returns to HMRC.
*
Regularly liaise with clients to provide tailored support and financial guidance.
*
Manage a consistent portfolio of clients, building strong, ongoing relationships.
Qualifications and Skills of the accountant:
*
Proficient in IT, with experience using Microsoft Office and familiarity with various accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent, IRIS/Digita preferred).
*
Strong communication skills, with confidence in liaising with clients via phone, email, and face-to-face.
*
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
*
Prior experience in public practice is preferred.
*
AAT or higher qualifications are a strong advantage.
Position Details for Senior accountant:

Type: Full-time, Permanent
*
Salary: Competitive pay dependent on experience
*
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm
*
Location: Rochdale office with the flexibility of hybrid considered in the future.
