Night Shift Maintenance Fitter - Monday to Friday

Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Mechanical Fitters and Engineers from the quarrying or recycling industry who would be interested in a Night Shift Maintenance Fitter role.

This is a Monday to Friday position working 40 hours per week. Hours of work are 21:00 - 06:00 Monday to Thursday and 21:00 - 03:30 on Friday. Holiday allotment is 20 days + bank holiday entitlement.

Role Profile

Play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of quarry equipment and machinery during the night shift.
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of quarry machinery and equipment.
Diagnose mechanical faults and conduct preventative maintenance to reduce the risk of equipment failure.
Collaborate with the production team to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work and report on equipment performance.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize production downtime.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.Desired Experience

Able to work a night shift pattern on a Monday to Friday basis.
Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter in a heavy plant, recycling or quarry setting.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in reading technical drawings and manuals.
Experience with welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and heavy machinery.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a quarry environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
