Electrical Design Engineer – West Midlands / North Birmingham – Automation/Machinery - £50-55k + 25 days holidays

Samuel Frank is recruiting for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a very well established and growing West Midlands based company. The successful Electrical Design Engineer will need to understand and be able to design basic pneumatic circuits.
Key aspects of the Electrical Design Engineer role include –
* Create detailed technical drawings, schematics and diagrams using CAD software – could be AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or SolidWorks Electrical or any other widely used electrical design software package
* Design electrical and pneumatic systems for bespoke machinery and special purpose equipment
* The successful Electrical Design Engineer will have the opportunity to grow the team over time and develop and progress the role into the management team
* Select appropriate components and materials for electrical and pneumatic systems.
* Be able to specify valves, cylinders & cable sizes
* Ideally have a background in design for automation and special purpose machinery
* Working with a very friendly, sociable & supportive team
* The company works in a variety of industries, so no two projects are the same.
* On site experience – Electrical Design Engineer role will be mostly office based but will involve supervising installation and commissioning works on customer sites – all sites are UK based and will almost always be one day visits.
* If you wanted to go down the software route, there could be opportunities to learn and develop PLC software skills in the future whilst adding value as an Electrical Design Engineer.
* 25 days holiday + 8 Bank Holidays
* Working hours are 7.30am-4pm Monday to Thursday, 7.30am-12:30pm on Fridays
The office is commutable from most of the West Midlands including places such as Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Walsall, Cannock, Sutton Coldfield, Penkridge and West Bromwich
