Job Title: Maintenance electrical Technician
Location: Morden, United Kingdom
Salary: Up to £41,000 per annum
Hours: - Monday to Friday, either 6:00 am to 2:00 pm or 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The Role
A manufacturing facility in Morden is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join its team. The site specializes in producing high-quality gas cylinders used across various industries, including food preparation, pharmaceuticals, and higher education. This is a hands-on position where the technician will be responsible for maintaining all plant and equipment, following strict safety and operational procedures.
The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in installing, commissioning, and maintaining site machinery and systems. The company is searching for an individual with strong skills in electrical and instrumentation maintenance, who is also capable of working collaboratively with production teams, engineers, and external contractors to execute both planned and preventive maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure efficient operation.
Install, commission, and maintain all plant machinery on-site.
Collaborate with various departments and contractors to schedule and complete maintenance tasks effectively.
Adhere strictly to safety, health, quality, and environmental standards and procedures.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues with a logical, systematic approach.Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is energetic, self-motivated, and highly disciplined, bringing a proactive attitude to the role. They should have a Level 4 Apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Electrical and Instrumentation engineering. The individual must be ATEX qualified and comfortable working in potentially explosive environments.
Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or scientific setting is preferred, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and SAP software would be advantageous but is not essential.Why Work Here
