Our client, a highly respected and well-established engineering firm based in Birmingham, is seeking a CNC Machine Shop Manager to join their successful team as part of the senior management.

With over 30 years in the industry and a record-breaking year behind them, this is a rare and exciting opportunity to be part of a thriving business.

The machine shop manager will lead a skilled team of six CNC Programmers, Millers, Turners, Grinders, and Machinists, providing both technical guidance and effective management. This role will be hands-on, requiring a proficient CNC Programmer with experience in running a machine shop. The successful candidate must be adept in using Hurco and Brother machines, with strong programming skills in Fanuc and Heidenhain software.

Working primarily in the aerospace and automotive sectors, the company produces complex, high-precision components, so an eye for detail and quality is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

* Managing and leading a team of 6 CNC specialists

* Hands-on programming and technical support

* Overseeing the production of complex components for the aerospace and automotive industries

* Ensuring operational efficiency and maintaining the highest standards of quality

* Collaborating with senior management to drive continued success and growth

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a CNC Programmer with management or leadership responsibilities

* Expertise in Fanuc and Heidenhain software

* Familiarity with Hurco and Brother machines

* Background in precision engineering, particularly in aerospace and/or automotive sectors

* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team

Salary & Benefits:
