Opportunity for a Process Safety Engineer to join an award winning polymers and specialist chemicals manufacturer in Greater Manchester.

As a Senior Process Safety Engineer you will be responsible for technical safety support, ensuring implementation of process safety and regulatory requirements including DSEAR and COMAH.

Duties include;

Produce technical safety and process engineering deliverables
Develop safety engineering philosophies
Chair, lead and participate in process safety assessments / studies including HAZID, HAZOP and SIL
Input to project design assurance reviews (P&ID, constructability, etc)
Develop and implement functional safety plans

You should have;

Degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline
Relevant professional experience working as a Process Safety Engineer at a senior level
Experience and proficiency in process operations
Demonstrable knowledge of COMAH, DESAR plus latest risk assessment techniques / relevant H&S legislation
Demonstrable experience of leading safety studies (HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA)
Technically proficient in all areas of process safety and loss prevention (HAZOP, PHA, etc)
