Job Title: Estates Maintenance Worker

Trust: The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust

Location: The Walton Centre, Lower Lane, Liverpool L9 7LJ

Shift Pattern: Monday- Friday, 8am-4pm 37.5 hours per week

Pay Rate: £ 13.57 an hour (Temporary Ongoing)

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join the Estate team at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust. If you have a solid background in electrical engineering, with experience in fault finding and repairs, this could be the perfect role for you.

We have leading specialists and incredibly dedicated staff delivering excellent clinical outcomes for brain, spinal and neurological care both national and internationally. Teams across our site in Fazakerley, Liverpool, offer a world-class service in diagnosing and treating injuries and illnesses affecting the brain, spine and peripheral nerves and muscles, and in supporting people suffering from a wide range of long-term neurological conditions.

We serve a catchment area of 3.5 million people across Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, the Isle of Man, north Wales and beyond with service partnerships with 18 NHS hospitals. Our ‘Walton Clinics’ model on 44 sites providing care for neurology means that many people can access outpatient consultations and many tests closer to home and takes specialist services as close to service users as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

* Diagnose and repair faults in electrical systems (e.g., lighting circuits, power circuits, fire doors).

* Perform routine maintenance on electrical and mechanical plant equipment.

* Work collaboratively with other trades, healthcare professionals, and staff to ensure efficient service delivery.

* Interpret and work from instructions, drawings, and specifications without supervision.

* Adhere to health and safety regulations and uphold confidentiality and information governance protocols.

Requirements:

* GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent) and NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering/Installation via an accredited apprenticeship.

* Extensive experience in electrical maintenance within a healthcare environment.

* Familiarity with both hand and power tools, and ability to work from instructions without supervision.

* Proven experience in fault finding and repairs of basic electrical systems.

* Strong understanding of health and safety practices in the building and engineering industry.

* Physically fit, capable of working in challenging environments such as basements and plant rooms.
