Electrical Engineer

Job Description

The Electrician will provide electrical and building services engineering maintenance to a client property(s). This will include electrical bias fault finding, repairs, maintenance, and installation on the client site(s).

The emphasis is on providing a world class building services maintenance service.

Key Responsibilities

* Surveying sites where electrical systems are installed

* Drafting electrical installation plans and technical diagrams

* Installing, maintaining, modifying and repairing all electrical systems in public spaces and buildings

* Ensuring that electrical systems adhere to the national electrical safety standards and regulations

* Supervising ongoing electrical system installations and providing technical expertise to installation teams where needed

* Using blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete projects

* Completing work orders and recording materials that are used on the job

* Identifying electrical problems and repairing them

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

* Electrical Craft Apprenticeship with relevant qualifications and 5 years’ subsequent experience

* High or Low Voltage Appointed Person (desirable)

* Electrical 18th Edition Course (desirable)

* Significant experience in providing electrical building services maintenance to include fault finding, PPM, installation and inspection/testing.

* Experience of working within FM or building services within commercial properties.

* Experience of working under strict Health & Safety procedures including risk assessments and method statements
