The responsibilities of the Head of Operations / Operations Director role are as follows:
* Support the GM and SLT in driving production optimization across all areas of the facility
* Support P&L management and ensure cost control across all production areas
* Contributing to the corporate strategy in production, supply and delivery performance
* Developing and controlling budgets to ensure resources are allocated in line with objectives
* Leading the manufacturing engineering, production and maintenance function in lean activities such as cycle time reduction, waste elimination, and yield optimization
* Lead multi-site CapEX projects to enable production improvements
* Leading production to ensure all products meet high quality standards and all customer orders are met on time and in full
* Overseeing supply chain to ensure supply of goods/materials/services supports production targets and within cost parameters
* Foster a positive culture within all operations, leading, motivating and developing all teams to encourage optimum performance
* Encouraging a culture of continuous improvement within operational areas
The experience required for the Head of Operations / Operations Director position are as follows:
* Degree qualified, apprenticeship or equivalent experience
* Extensive operations management experience
* Excellent leadership and inter-personal skills
* Knowledge of business functions, including supply chain, quality, manufacturing, stores, logistics
* Analytical skills to evaluate data to guide decision-making
* Excellent organisational and negotiation skills
