The Role

The purpose of the role is to be responsible will work closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner and Commercial Finance Director, as well as be a true business partner to the Director of Business Operations and team, as well as the Lifecycle Management team, both of whom are part of the COO organisation. The role also involves working closely with other parts of the business and finance including Financial Planning& Analysis, Business Planning and Financial Control teams.

Responsibilities:

Commercial Finance lead consolidating the annual budget and quarterly re-forecasts for the Design, Build, Run business unit, working with the business and commercial finance teams in each of the individual functional areas to build coherence to story-telling.
Own the production and review of the month end financial reporting pack for Design, Build, Run business unit, including resource management, holding individual functions accountable to committed plans, and inputting financials into performance scorecards.
lead the end-to-end month end cycle for the Business Operations and Lifecycle Management cost centres, including: ensuring the accuracy of general ledger transactions & journal posting if required; insightful and accurate variance analysis; and production of monthly reporting packs.

Requirements:

CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified with minimum 3 years PQE
Experience of working in a financial planning& analysis role with excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to provide clear & concise analysis of performance drivers
A highly numerical individual, with a structured, analytical approach to problem solving and a track record of implementing change to improve financial processes
Demonstrates initiative and takes responsibility for issues, seeing them through to completion and has curiosity, and a desire to explore a range of options to develop the right solution
