Our client is a fantastic SEN school in Ware who are looking for a Psychology and Criminology graduate that will provide the education and training of their children, who have been diagnosed with wide ranging educational and social needs. The schools endeavour to ensure children reach their full potential, through high standards of teaching and learning.
This is a Mental Health Teaching Assistant role that will put you into challenging, sometimes Anti-Social contexts that will build your foundations of experience. With this LSA role starting after, de-escalation and the language around it is incredibly important!
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your understanding through the education and training of their pupils. You will work closely with the clinical departments within this school.
Job Title: Mental Health Assistant
Location: Ware
Salary Scale: £460-£500 per week
Qualification: Psychology and Criminology Graduate
Contract type: Long Term Contract, 5 days a week, 8:30 - 16:30
Role Requirements:
Personal/Professional experience with children and/or young people is desirable but not essential
Psychology and Criminology Graduate.
A caring individual with energy, drive and enthusiasm.
Ability to work as part of team, alongside teaching and support staff
Willing to support a pupil with personal care where necessary.
Able to use their initiative to support learning.
Passion to support children and young people with special educational needsWhat you'll need:
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to get one.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification, at level 2 or above.
Local Commute to Ware and surrounding areas
