We are partnered with a leading contractor with a reputation for delivering world-class projects across a diverse range of industries dedicated to ensuring quality, safety, and sustainability. Due to continued growth, we are now urgently looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor. As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will be a key player in implementing and maintaining robust health & safety measures on site, ensuring a secure working environment, and leading the team in achieving safety objectives.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

Lead the development of Health & Safety leadership & culture in the workplace.

Ensure full compliance with local and national Health and Safety legislation pertaining to the project construction.
*
Develop project-specific health & safety strategies, programs, and plans in partnership with Group Health and Safety.
*
Coordinate health and safety program elements addressing site access, security, project induction, first aid, welfare, and emergency arrangements.
*
Coordinate and manage on-site health and safety resources.
*
Establish a process of active health and safety monitoring through audits and inspections of site conditions and contractor activities.
*
Monitor and report on health and safety performance and challenges using predefined leading and lagging health and safety performance indicators.
*
Ensure appropriate and effective emergency response, case management, incident investigation and reporting mechanisms are in place to facilitate learning from incidents (LFI).
*
Attend meetings regularly & contribute to the best of your knowledge.
*
Degree/ qualifications in Health and Safety Management/NEBOSH.
*
Commercial, life sciences pharmaceutical, healthcare project sectors experiences are desirable with either sub or main contractor.
*
Updated understanding of health and safety principles with proven technical skills in occupational safety and health disciplines.
*
Proven years of experience in H&S roles within construction.
*
Proven management, problem-solving & communication skills.
*
Proficiency in H&S software & tools.
