Customer Service Advisor
Our Tamworth based client is looking for a Customer Service Advisor to join their team.
This role is dynamic and multifaceted, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You'll act as the central point of contact for customers and external sales managers, ensuring seamless service delivery from initial enquiry to aftercare.
You'll be the driving force behind excellent customer experiences, making it perfect for someone passionate about service excellence, detail-oriented, and ready to take ownership of a wide range of tasks.
As a Customer Service Advisor, you will need to have/be:
personable, professional and approachable and above all have excellent customer service skills, offering the best personal service at all times
able to deal with difficult customers, always remaining calm and professional
accurate and efficient at all times
have the initiative to find a resolution to any problems that may arise
work equally well in a team as well as being able manage your own workload and effectively manage your own time
flexible and adaptable, understanding what to prioritise in this varied role
previous experience in an Administration/Customer Service role
knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel and Sage would be beneficialDetails:
Salary: £24, 000 - £25, 000
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm
Location: Tamworth (on site)
Duration: PermanentRole of Customer Service Advisor:
Manage assigned accounts and provide full support to customers and Sales Managers.
Handle inbound/outbound calls and log wrap-up details.
Answer overflow switchboard calls and respond to inquiries.
Raise claims for lost or damaged goods.
Process internet and email orders using Sage and internal systems.
Handle sample requests, quotes, and customer deliveries.
Maintain customer database and update contact details.
Monitor orders, deliveries, and service levels for key accounts.
Manage returns, debit notes, credits, and faulty goods.
Collaborate with carriers, Quality, and Credit Control teams to resolve issues.
Send promotions, mailshots, and set up customers for online ordering.
Prepare reports, chase outstanding queries, and update logs.
Cover tasks for the Bespoke Product Team as needed.
