About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter / Operator to join a company that manufactures special purpose equipment. This role is ideal for an experienced CNC professional with a background in setting and operating CNC milling machines. You will be working with precision-engineered components, ensuring high standards of accuracy and quality in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Set and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components

*

Work from technical drawings and specifications to ensure correct setup and machining processes

*

Load and unload materials, tools, and fixtures, ensuring correct alignment and positioning

*

Monitor machining processes, making adjustments as necessary to maintain accuracy and efficiency

*

Inspect finished components to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards

*

Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines to ensure optimal performance

*

Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to improve machining processes

*

Maintain a safe and organised work environment, following all health and safety guidelines

Key Skills & Qualifications

*

Proven experience as a CNC Setter / Operator, specifically on CNC milling machines

*

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

*

Strong understanding of machining principles and cutting tool selection

*

Experience using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges

*

Good problem-solving skills with the ability to adjust machine settings to optimise performance

*

Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a precision manufacturing environment

*

Knowledge of CNC programming (desirable but not essential)
