Are you a skilled and experienced Building Services professional seeking a leadership role with a Tier 1 Contractor? We are currently recruiting for a Building Services Manager to join our dynamic UK leading client. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the delivery of high-quality, sustainable building services projects across various sectors.
 
As a Building Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of building services engineering across multiple projects. You will lead a team of engineers and ensure that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are designed and implemented to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Daily Duties of a Building Services Manager:

  Lead the building services team in the design, coordination, and delivery of MEP systems for large-scale construction projects
Ensure all engineering designs meet client requirements, project briefs, and industry standards
Manage and mentor junior engineers, apprentices, and graduates, fostering their professional development
Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project delivery
Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships and address any issues that arise during the project lifecycle
Review and approve design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and reports
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies  
What you’ll need to succeed as Building Services Manager:

Proven experience in a senior building services engineering role, with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
A relevant degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Professional affiliation or chartership (e.g., MRICS, IEng, CEng, MCIBSE) is highly desirable
Experience with design software such as IES, Revit, or Hevacomp is advantageous
A solid understanding of the commercial aspects of construction projects
