Our long standing client is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team based in Keighley. They are an award winning commercial and fit out contractor who pride themselves on the level of service and high standard finish. They are looking for someone who has already had the experience of managing Quantity Surveyors and overseeing frameworks and large projects from start to finish.
Job Responsibilities
* Managing others within the QS team and share knowledge and experience to the rest of the team.
* Guiding and offer training to some of the less experiences assistant Quantity Surveyors.
* Managing projects from start to finish, there will be multiple projects running at any on time.
* Negotiating with suppliers / sub contractors and ensuring deadlines are met.
* Ensuring final projects are being delivered within budget.
* Liaising with the site teams, clients and other commercial team.
* Conducting progress meetings and updating management with the progress of the project.
* Interpreting technical drawings, generating & following up quotations
* Signing off payments and final accounts for sub contractors and supplier statements.
Job Requirements
* Must have past experience in a similar Senior Quantity Surveyor Role.
* Past management Experience would be required.
* HND / BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
* Driving License and your own transport.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Fit out / Commercial project experience would be an advantage.
The client do offer flexible working where the option of working from home would be available 3 days a week.
