Manufacturing Accountant

£55,000 - £65,000 plus car / car allowance and excellent benefits

Role Profile

Our client is a thriving manufacturing business with a site in Cornwall. They are currently looking to appoint a Manufacturing Accountant to work closely with the Plant Manager to drive greater efficiencies and performance improvements across their fast paced multi-line production operation.

Key responsibilities will include:

Supporting the Plant Manager with forecasting and budgeting for the site
Designing and producing both monthly manufacturing accounts and weekly reports which can be used to drive efficiencies across different production areas
Providing detailed commentary and analysis on areas such as Production Costs, Stock Variance, PPV and Headcount
Interpreting data to establish operational actions for the Plant and managing the future costs process to support commercial decision making
Owning Bills of Material, partnering with the business in support of new products and product development
Providing additional support to the Supply Chain function including analysis, P&L, forecasting and budgeting

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Extensive experience as a Manufacturing Accountant, Plant Controller or Finance Business Partner within Manufacturing
Excellent working knowledge of BOM, Routings, Production Costs, Inventory, PPV, Labour costs etc.
Proven track record of business partnering at a senior level
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
ACCA or CIMA preferred but not essential if QBE
